Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the month-end closing process, and preparing financial reports. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including FP&A and external auditors, to maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Hybrid | Sandy Springs, GA – This role requires in-office collaboration. Relocation is not available at this time.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. | Sponsorship and Corp-to-Corp arrangements are not available.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Accountant:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statement information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain the timely completion of closing the accounting system, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare and improve existing balance sheet reconciliations to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
  • Analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts to identify and explain large variances from month to month.
  • Record transactions in the general ledger while ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Support the corporate credit card and expense reimbursement policies, ensuring compliance and proper expense tracking.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to support accurate financial reporting and analysis for leadership decision-making.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and assist in addressing their inquiries.
  • Revise accounting memos to document the proper application of US GAAP and ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of this job classification.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
