We are currently seeking a Medicaid Systems Certification Lead to join our team in Montgomery Alabama. This can be a remote position with limited travel to the client’s site.
As part of the NTT DATA Project Management Office (PMO), the Certification Lead will work with the project managers to ensure system functionality and business operations meet the Medicaid Certification requirements as defined in CMS’ Streamlined Module Certification (SCM) process. This individual will develop and implement a strategy for creating and maintaining proper documentation of system artifacts to support the certification process for each implementation throughout its life cycle. This individual will lead the certification efforts with the modules and direct the work of other resources supporting the certification efforts. The Certification lead will provide advice and support to the State and to the module vendors to ensure the SCM prescribed activities are scheduled and managed as part of the implementation plan. This includes ongoing status updates to the State and CMS on the progress of certification activities; participation in project status and planning meetings, the identification and management of any risks associated with certification, and response to CMS requests and findings throughout the certification process.
Additional duties include:
- Lead standardization of Certification processes across the program
- Participation as a member of module project teams
- Training and other education of program members and stakeholders on the purpose and processes associated with CMS certification
- Stay current with evolving guidance on CMS certification
- Supporting the project manager of each project with all aspects of the certification process
- Providing guidance to State resources on preparation and participation in the CMS Certification reviews
- Preparing certification work plans, status reports
- Managing communication, coordination and performance of other stakeholders as needed
- Directly contribute to and share the responsibility for the project performance by planning, monitoring, and adjusting certification resources (people, budget, material, time)
- Manage certification project risks and issues: root cause analysis, implementation of corrective/preventive actions, compliance with PMI methodology, and continual process improvement efforts
- Administrative support tasks such as: meeting agendas and minutes, tracking and organizing certification evidence and deliverables.
- Drive collaboration with other departments (e.g., IT, compliance) to ensure alignment and integration of certification activities.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of certification documentation, artifacts, and processes.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the certification process.
- Provide back up support for Project manager(s) on projects assigned
Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their manager
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience managing implementation and/or operations of Medicaid projects.
· 3+ years managing CMS certifications for Medicaid projects including SCM certifications
· 5+ years managing IT Projects.
- 5+ years managing risks and issues in an IT project setting
- 3+ years of experience managing or working with multi-contractor projects, or similar complex programs
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project
- Must be on client site at as requested by the client (less than 10%)
- PMP certification
