The Job Details are as follows:

The Senior Web and Digital Marketing Specialist works cross-functionally to implement digital marketing strategies including conversion-rate optimization, testing and experimentation, search marketing, and user experience enhancements that drive acquisition, conversion, and retention. It develops a deep understanding of our customers and site visitors in the library community through data collection, integrations, insights, and partnerships and uses those insights to inform web strategy, optimization, data automation, and cross-channel tactics. And, most of all, this position requires a strong desire and aptitude for learning, problem solving, and continuous improvement in an ever-changing marketing landscape that includes new approaches that leverage AI to help increase demand and create innovative experiences.

The Senior Web and Digital Marketing Specialist is a member of the Web Experience and Optimization team within OCLC’s Corporate Marketing group.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategies and implement website optimization, personalization, and A/B testing.
  • Use and champion SEO best practices as well as emerging AEO and GEO strategies. Analyze data from external search engine consoles and website search reporting to inform content and keyword strategies.
  • Help manage day-to-day web content updates, site refreshes, and migrations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand, GDPR, and accessibility standards.
  • Plan and implement data capture and automation workflows using UX/UI principles for designing customer interactions. Partner with sales, product marketing, and development teams on integrations with marketing technology tools and business applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and develop strong web marketing campaigns and digital strategies across multiple channels, including search and email marketing.
  • Continuously improve web content and experiences by capturing and analyzing attribution and performance data to interpret trends. Develop and implement recommendations based on user needs, analytics data, and digital content best practices that effectively drive lead conversion, renewals, and customer engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Web Content Management

  • 5+ years of experience in website management for an enterprise-managed CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Webflow, Drupal, WordPress
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML/CSS, UX/UI principles of web design, and familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Deep understanding of metadata, indexing, SEO, SEM, and CRO, and the emergence of new AI search engine traffic
  • Technical fluency to work independently with front-end developers, designers, and software engineers to drive application enhancements and maintenance.

Data, Automation, and Optimization

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as IntelliStack, Zapier, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement)
  • Experience planning, creating, and implementing multi-channel A/B tests and targeted personalization campaigns in tools such as VWO, Optimizely, Adobe Target
  • Proficiency in marketing metrics and using performance data from web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Siteimprove to inform decisions and optimize experiences.

Communication and leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with engaging stakeholders at various organizational levels and effective in promoting SME recommendations while exhibiting tact and sensitivity.
  • Self-motivated marketer who enjoys working collaboratively or independently based on the needs of a project or deliverable.
  • Data-driven thinker with the ability to analyze marketing metrics from a variety of data sources and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Committed to delivering a cohesive customer journey that reinforces the brand story and marketing goals.
  • Curious problem-solver who is constantly learning and interested in how emerging technology can create efficiencies.

Desired but not required

  • Experience in B2B or SaaS
  • Experience with VWO
  • Experience with Semrush or Google Search Console
  • Familiarity with webhooks and APIs
  • Experience with global and localized marketing (EMEA, APAC, ANZ)
  • Knowledge of library systems and technologies
