Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will be supporting the preparation of monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and the annual budgeting process. We are looking for a phenomenal teammate who enjoys building new reporting capabilities and leading large data sets and who thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere! Technical proficiency is a must as this role will work on data validation and access several different data platforms to help the company progress towards scalable CRM and future reporting and planning models.
This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 2 days per week at our Plano, TX location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and develops financial models, reports, and dashboards
- Assists in the development and maintenance of recurring monthly financial reporting packages to the executive leadership team and the department leads
- Analyzes actual results and identifies key financial and operating issues to be addressed; quantifies actual results versus budget and forecast
- Helps in the preparation of the company’s annual operating budget including detailed support and analysis of the company’s revenue, COGS, and expenses
- Facilitates operational improvement efforts and implementation of new financial reporting and forecasting software
- Finds opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of recurring financial analysis
- Interprets complex pricing models to analyze deal economics, trends and advise management of areas of risk and upside
- Develops various financial dashboards from the initial requirement stage, data validation to ongoing maintenance, in collaboration with IT and Finance teams
- Aids preparation of monthly Executive Scorecard and all-employee Business Update reporting
- Supports quarterly board meeting material preparation, ad-hoc analysis, and client level reporting
- Collaborates with Technology, Sales, Implementations, and Accounting to find the most efficient reporting capabilities
- Strong attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement and implementation of the best reporting practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Familiarity with payments industry
- 3-5 years of related experience in a financial analyst or data analyst role
- Power BI and SQL abilities are strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of content building, data visualization, and publishing reports in a BI platform
- Experience with modeling large data sets, data cleansing, and validation
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into concrete solutions and processes
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $80,190 to $90,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of proven experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
