We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative Production Support Analyst with a hands-on application support development background who truly enjoys supporting, maintaining and developing elegant solutions and data fixes based on existing well-established Java-based systems, and embraces the transitioning to our new micro-service architecture. Reporting to the Support Manager at PAR and AFC, this Production Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting multiple applications utilized by AFC as well as PAR North America agents and partners.

This role includes reviewing and prioritizing requests; troubleshooting issues within the application and database and identifying the root cause of the issue; analyzing the risks and relationships between functional groups of the systems while potentially working on code and data patches; creating SQL data fixes, and testing the changes. Communication with Business Owners, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Engineers, and System Administrators is often required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Application/Software production support.

  • Experience coding or scripting in Oracle, PL/SQL.

  • Experience in supporting development teams and environment stacks having both modern and legacy components.

  • Understanding of compliance and quality standards required to operate a business.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and actively identify bottlenecks and ways to improve engineering practices, development, and Support processes.

  • Experience in report writing and systems analysis to help the business be successful

Other Skills & Experience that will help you:

  • Possess skills in leadership to facilitate client relations, negotiation, decision making, problem solving and conflict management.

  • Have demonstrated communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization and its affiliates; this includes communicating on different technical expertise levels where appropriate.

  • Experience with coding or scripting in Java, C#, Python, or other programming languages.

  • Experience with JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, JMS, JDBC, SQL.

  • Experience supporting web services (SOAP, REST, JSON).

  • Experience operating on an agile scrum team in a developer or support role.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.

  • Understanding and performance tuning experience working with relational DBs like Oracle, Sql Server.

  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, design patterns and web system architecture.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related degree preferred or commensurate experience
