OSIS is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Health Information Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role with a 32-hour work week—giving you more time for life outside of work—while still offering full benefits.

What You'll Do

As a Health Information Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting our HRSA HCCN Collective, Quality Consultants, and OSIS Members by:

  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting healthcare data to drive performance improvements
  • Troubleshooting data inconsistencies and applying clinical workflow best practices
  • Designing and maintaining reports using tools like Smartsheet, ConnectWise, and Microsoft products
  • Collaborating across teams and coordinating project deliverables
  • Representing OSIS with professionalism and contributing to internal committees
  • Minimal travel required—less than 10%.

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Associate degree in healthcare information management or 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare technology and reporting systems

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management
  • CEHRT certification (NextGen preferred)
  • Experience with FQHCs or non-profits
  • Familiarity with CMS and State Promoting Interoperability programs
  • Microsoft Excel certification

Bonus: If you’re not already CEHRT certified, we’ll support you in getting certified within 6 months of hire.

Remote Work Requirements

This is a fully remote position. To succeed, you’ll need:

  • Cable or fiber internet
  • Minimum download speed: 20 Mbps
  • Minimum upload speed: 5 Mbps
