Compensation: Up to $175k + Bonus + Equity
The Role
The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives will play a central role in launching and scaling many of Petfolk’s highest-impact initiatives as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Petfolk has spent the past several years building an extremely strong foundation: opening de novo Pet Care Centers, building exceptional care teams and the systems and processes that support them, and enabling a best-in-class customer experience. With this foundation in place, we now have the opportunity to pursue a wide range of impactful initiatives that expand access to care, improve operational performance, and unlock new growth opportunities across our rapidly scaling national platform.
This role owns the full lifecycle of major initiatives, from initial hypothesis development and business case building through to cross-functional execution and long-term performance monitoring.
You will work closely with leaders across Strategy, Medical, Operations, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Real Estate to help evaluate opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive successful implementation. This role works directly with the VP of Strategy & Corporate Development and frequently collaborates with Petfolk’s leadership team on high-priority initiatives.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical, commercially-minded individual who enjoys solving complex problems, working across teams, promoting cross-functional understanding and alignment, and driving meaningful impact over time.
What You'll Do
- Own the lifecycle of Petfolk’s highest-priority strategic initiatives
- Build business cases and economic rationale around new initiatives, assessing opportunity size, potential returns on investment, operational feasibility, and scalability
- Evaluate new opportunities through both quantitative and qualitative lenses, and package findings to inform executive prioritization
- Partner with functional leaders to drive initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring clear ownership, timelines and accountability
- Track initiative performance post-launch and iterate to improve results over time
- Maintain alignment between Petfolk’s initiative pipeline and broader strategic roadmap
- Support the Strategy team through ad hoc analysis and presentations across a multiple topics
Who You Are
- 3-5+ years in strategy consulting or implementation consulting. Corporate strategy / BizOps candidates at high-growth companies will also be considered
- A self-starter with the desire and ability to tackle challenging, often ambiguous problems
- Strong analytical rigor, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and synthesize key findings
- Excellent communication skills when discussing with all levels, and a strong ability to translate analysis into action
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams concurrently
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides
