The Community Support Program Manager reports to the Sr. Manager of Community and Wellness. As a program manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring programs that foster a sense of belonging and empowerment through curated community and peer focused spaces.
Additional responsibilities include managing the programming and facilitation of live/ re-recorded events, workshops or classes, addressing TGNC barriers through community based partnerships, asset and content creation, and monitoring and evaluation. The program manager improves and evolves assigned programs based on feedback from our members and opportunities for efficiency.
Plume's Program Managers serve as strong partners to their team in navigating complex challenges, driving community engagement, and excel at promoting a supportive, inclusive, and high performance working environment. Their contributions are paramount to the success of Plume's programs and a positive member experience.
As a Programs Manager, you will:
• Manage the day-to-day of existing programs (40%)
• Develop new strategic modes of program implementation (25%)
• Team management (15%)
• Project management (15%)
• Forecasting, reporting, and quality monitoring (5%)

Responsbilities:

  • Empower and support the Plume community team to effectively provide Plume members with the support they need in navigating their gender journey and achieving improved health and wellness outcomes.
  • Establish structures and processes that cultivate communication and accountability amongst direct reports
  • Collaborate cross functionally to align Plume's business and community goals with new and existing community support programs
  • Facilitate quarterly 1-on-1 meetings; providing support and supervision to facilitators
  • Facilitate employee onboarding/offboarding and support continued education and development of all staff.
  • Effectively identify community support needs and coordinate responsive programming to connect members to Plume and community health and wellness resources to support member needs
  • Complete accurate and thorough documentation and record keeping in a timely manner
  • Monitor and control program and project costs to ensure that the program is delivered within the approved budget.
  • Manage program content, monthly schedule and facilitation tools
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to develop an integrated marketing strategy for program promotion, including pre-group marketing, communications, post-group surveys
  • Facilitate and moderate groups as needed; disruption or cancelation to groups are a last resort option
  • Contribute to the design and structure of technical and platform tools associated with support groups and any ongoing asynchronous communication platforms
  • Own the management of technical and platform tools associated with live groups, such as Asana, FreshDesk, Typeform, Presentation slide decks, Zoom, Calendly, and others.
  • Work with Sr. Manager of Community and Wellness to test and support iterations of support groups and peer to peer connection products and services
  • Understand and comply with confidentiality of personal information and HIPAA compliance.
  • Expect collaboration, shared-decision making, and partnership across clinical and non-clinical care team members.

  • Satellite peer support groups
  • Virtual discussions

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Gender Studies, Human Services, Social Work, or other related fields. Years of related experience can be substituted for years of completed education towards a bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program management/supervision in a healthcare or social work setting
  • 1+ years of direct professional experience working with the trans community in a community or healthcare based setting
  • Skillful in leading change management in an evolving and ambiguous environment
  • Empathetic and versed in motivational interviewing and trauma informed care principles
  • Ability to creatively problem solve complex and difficult to navigate challenges
  • Skillful leader in strategic thinking and time management
  • Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and Video Conferencing; G-Suite preferred

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Experience in a telehealth environment
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Experience using productivity software; specifically Asana, Slack, Google Sheets
