The Role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our fast-paced, high-performing team. As we continue to grow and expand globally, we understand that hiring the right people and treating them well is key to our success! We are a multi-national company with locations in 20 countries, with each location contributing to Proofpoint’s amazing culture. This individual will be an integral part of the wider accounts payable team with a focus on our North American entities. This is a great opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to expand.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the workload of a team of 3 accounts payable and T&E specialists who are responsible for processing AP Invoices for multiple entities in various currencies accurately & in a timely manner (Non-PO, 2-way PO and 3-way PO)
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for entry to D365, ensuring compliance to various policies and procedures
  • Review and approve new vendors set-up and vendor changes
  • Own the annual 1099 reporting requirements
  • Review and approve out of policy travel
  • Run weekly payment proposals for ACH, Wire and Checks for multiple entities
  • Assist the team resolving vendor and business queries as they relate to the AP process and status of invoices
  • Key contact for our travel and expense platform, account manager to improve the user experience and ensure compliance to policy
  • Assess and approve VCC (virtual credit card) payment requests
  • Manage the corporate credit card program
  • Various month end tasks centered around accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis
  • Liaise and assist internal and external auditors with various audit and SOX requests
  • Involvement in numerous projects
  • Any ad hoc tasks as required by management

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a similar department in a multinational environment
  • People management experience desirable
  • Business or accounting certificate/diploma or higher
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP
  • Working knowledge of banking payment software
  • Deep understanding of 1099 annual process
  • Previous experience within travel and expense area for a company with a global employee base
  • Awareness of the Navan travel & expense platform an advantage
  • Great attention to detail
  • Works well on own initiative and as part of a global team across multiple locations
  • Passionate about operational excellence and customer service focused

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 87,900.00 - 128,920.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 71,025.00 - 104,170.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 64,950.00 - 95,260.00 USD
