The Role:
Proofpoint’s Pricing team sits within the Product Marketing department and is responsible for pricing initiatives across all products and services. The team is looking for a Go-To-Market Analyst Intern to add to our team. This role will be pivotal in managing our pricing and product information.
As a Go-To-Market Analyst Intern, you'll have the opportunity to learn about our pricing strategy, competitive pricing intelligence and how to use tools like Salesforce. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining price books across various channels, ensuring our sales, partners, and distributors’ pricing sheets are up to date. Communication is key, as you'll be the point person for conveying pricing updates to different channel teams and resolving any SKU or pricing-related issues with our partners. In addition, your role involves maintaining our existing product data template and aiding in the implementation of SKU automation tools. Beyond pricing and product data, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining a competitive database. This entails gathering competitive pricing intelligence for both existing and new products and services, keeping us well-informed about market dynamics.
Qualifications:
• Experience with SQL preferred
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to use Power Query preferred
• Comfortable working with large data sets
Candidate Profile:
You have the ability and interest in working full time (a maximum of 35 hours/week) in our Sunnyvale, CA office on a hybrid schedule. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA. This internship is scheduled to start immediately and run through the end of August.
