The Role
Proofpoint, Inc, an innovative security-as-a-service vendor that delivers human-centric security and data protection solutions that help organizations protect their people and data from attacks, and enable them to effectively meet the complex and evolving regulatory compliance and data governance mandates that have been spawned from highly publicized data breaches is looking for a highly motivated Inside Channel Account Manager to support the North America channel business, focused on our CDW partnership. The iCAM will act as an extension of the sales organization by leveraging the partner community and be based in our Draper, UT office. A successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen.
Your day-to-day
- Will serve as a dedicated iCAM supporting the CDW business
- Manage the deal registration approval/denial process for distribution partners
- Work with CDW and our distribution partners at end of month and end of quarter to ensure order accuracy and ease of doing business
- Conduct proactive on-going training presentations with the PFPT sales team to ensure they understand how to engage with, how to build, and how to grow the PFPT business with CDW
- Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business via CDW
- Assist the field CDW channel team by helping them meet and exceed the channel bookings revenue and quotas set for the organization
- Assist PFPT sales and CDW reps with generating quotes on the Ingram Micro Xvantage platform
- Support follow-up process on PO status and booking deals for partners
- Support matchup of CDW sales reps to Proofpoint sales
What you bring to the team
- Deep understanding of the role of the channel, and specifically CDW
- Enjoys training/teaching others
- Commands a presence in-front of an audience
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills, and can clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint's value and the value of the channel internally at Proofpoint
- Has the ability to work in a fast-moving environment, to prioritize effectively to think big picture, and to use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
- Experience managing resellers and distributors, particularly in the information security and data archiving markets
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of Channel Account Management experience with a proven track record of success alongside the channel, and specifically CDW
