Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, International Tax to lead and manage the company’s international tax matters in a complex, multinational environment. This role will focus primarily on U.S. international tax while overseeing transfer pricing, supporting foreign tax provisions, and partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders on M&A and global structuring initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, practical execution experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

International & U.S. Tax Compliance and Planning

  • Own the U.S. international tax matters, including: GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, Foreign tax credits (FTC), Dual consolidated loss (DCL) and BEAT exposure analysis (when needed)
  • Monitor and evaluate U.S. tax law changes and global tax developments impacting the group.
  • Lead analysis and implementation of OECD Pillar Two (GloBE) rules, including modeling, readiness assessments, and compliance coordination.

Tax Provision & Reporting Support

  • Review and/or assist with the preparation of U.S. international tax matters for ASC 740
  • Review and/or prepare the foreign income tax provisions under ASC 740
  • Analyze uncertain tax positions and support FIN 48 / reserves documentation
  • Partner with controllership and local finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Transfer Pricing

  • Oversee global transfer pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with business operations and tax regulations.
  • Manage preparation, review, and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation (local files, master files).
  • Partner with external advisors on TP studies, audits, and controversy matters.
  • Support intercompany pricing policies, agreements, and economic analyses.

M&A, Structuring & Special Projects

  • Provide tax support on M&A transactions, including: Target due diligence, Acquisition structuring and Post‑merger integration
  • Advise on foreign equity transactions, reorganizations, liquidations, and cross‑border restructurings.
  • Support other special projects related to global expansion, IP alignment, and financing structures.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a key international tax advisor to internal stakeholders across tax, finance, legal, and business teams.
  • Help define international tax strategy and roadmap
  • Manage and coordinate external tax advisors across jurisdictions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior tax team members

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 200,300.00 - 293,810.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 167,300.00 - 245,355.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 152,900.00 - 224,235.00 USD
