About the Services Evangelist Team:

The Proofpoint Services Evangelist team are collaborative team players who are always willing to share winning sales tactics and best practices with their peers. As a senior leader within this organization, the Sr. Manager of Services Evangelism plays a critical role in scaling the impact of the team and driving consistency, excellence, and global alignment.

Services Evangelists at Proofpoint have a direct impact on the success of our overall organization by augmenting our best-in-class technologies with an innovative, programmatic approach to customer success. The Sr. Manager partners closely with Field, Territory, and Enterprise Account leadership to increase services attach rates globally and ensure Proofpoint Services are positioned as a strategic differentiator.

About the Role:

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Manager, Services Evangelism to lead and evolve our global Services Evangelist function. This role focuses on building and scaling successful programs that help customers Protect People and Defend Data by optimizing Proofpoint’s world-class technology solutions.

The Sr. Manager will lead executive-level presales conversations, strategic planning sessions, and services value propositions for organizations looking to operationalize Proofpoint technologies. Leveraging deep cybersecurity and services expertise, this role advises customers on how to combine people, process, and technology to achieve their cybersecurity objectives.

In addition to people leadership responsibilities, this individual will be a major contributor to Proofpoint’s aggressive market share goals and will influence how holistic services programs are positioned to solve complex cybersecurity challenges globally.

Your day-to-day:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a global team of Services Evangelists, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on customer outcomes and services excellence.

• Engage with both current and prospective customers alongside your team, in person (occasionally), by phone, and/or via video conference.

• Lead and oversee services value conversations with internal stakeholders, customers, and prospects, including executive-level engagements.

• Build rapport, trust, and credibility with Proofpoint teammates and customers, serving as a trusted advisor for major cybersecurity initiatives.

• Partner with Sales, Services, and Enablement leadership to define best practices, playbooks, and success metrics for services evangelism.

• Support and occasionally participate in webinars, customer advocacy events, and Proofpoint-sponsored engagements.

• Provide valuable customer insight and real-world experience to services leadership, influencing service design, go-to-market strategy, and pricing.

• Maintain deep expertise across Email Security, Security Awareness Training, Information Protection, and Cloud Security.

• Use sound judgment, share innovative ideas, and build lasting relationships that help shape both team success and your professional growth.

What You Bring to the Team:

10+ years of experience in managed services sales, delivery, or cybersecurity consulting, including experience planning or implementing Email Threat Protection, Information Protection, or Cloud Security programs.

• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing teams, or demonstrated readiness to step into a senior people leadership role.

• Strong executive-level presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Broad and deep cybersecurity background, including advanced threats, threat protection, data protection, cloud security, malware protection, and/or incident response.

• Strong organizational, process, and operational discipline with attention to detail.

• A self-starter with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on engagement.

• A passion for working with people and helping them solve complex problems.

• Comfort leading open, collaborative conversations with senior internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven track record of success presenting to and educating field sales, SEs, and customers.

• Security certifications such as CISSP are strongly preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible time off, a comprehensive well-being program with two paid Wellbeing Days and two paid Volunteer Days per year, plus a three-week Work from Anywhere option.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 200,300.00 - 293,810.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 167,300.00 - 245,355.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 152,900.00 - 224,235.00 USD
