We are seeking a Korean Senior Accountant (Legal Entity Controller) to join our accounting team in Korea. This role offers significant exposure to global accounting and controlling practices and requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Korean and English.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Demonstrates maturity and sound judgment in handling complexity and evolving business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with NetSuite, Duzon OneStream, BlackLine, and Oracle is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards, particularly US GAAP,IFRS and KGAAP.
  • Experience in general accounting is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Perform general accounting duties, including journal entry postings (revenue, expenses, VAT, payments) using Duzon, and execute payment processes.
  • Serve as the Legal Entity Controller for the Korean entity, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close in accordance with Clarivate’s global reporting schedule.
  • Review financial data to ensure all critical accounts are properly reconciled with supporting documentation and transactions are accurately coded in compliance with both Clarivate’s internal accounting policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Take full accountability for the financial results reported to the organization, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Identify financial risks and calculate necessary reserves, accruals, and provisions.
  • Conduct balance sheet analysis and provide variance explanations (flux analysis).
  • Prepare local financial statements for audit purposes and compile corporate tax documentation packages for submission to the tax team.

About the Team

You will be joining a collaborative and supportive accounting team consisting of seven professionals—including three controllers, one Senior Accounting Manager, and one Accounting Manager. The team currently includes five Korea-based members and two India-based colleagues. Together, the team is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting for four Korean legal entities.

09:00 A.M.- 6:00 P.M. (It can be flexible with the discussion of manager)

Full time basis permanent position

This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 2 days a week.
