We are hiring a Senior Manager of Sales Operations to join our Intellectual Property team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex projects, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring that sales operations align with broader business objectives. You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a sales operations team and working with sales leadership to optimize sales processes, enhance team efficiency, and align sales operations with overall business goals. As the Senior Manager of Sales Operations, you will support the implementation of sales tools and CRM systems that drive operational excellence and support sales growth. This is an exciting opportunity within the sales organization for our IP segment within Clarivate to create and deliver strategic sales operations solutions.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • 7 + years of professional experience in a Sales Operations role

  • 3+ years experience with Salesforce.com and expertise with at least one CRM system

  • 7+ years of knowledge of compensation practices and theory, primarily in sales operations or analytics

  • 7+ years of demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • 3+ years of experience working in an analytical and quantitative role, with the ability to interpret and analyze data, create, and track metrics, and to present effectively to senior management

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Drive and influence strategic sales operations plans to support business goals and drive growth

  • Manage the design and implementation of advanced sales processes and CRM systems, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Partner with leadership, sales, marketing, and IT to ensure alignment and integration of sales operation processes and workflows

  • Lead and manage complex sales operations projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation of initiatives

  • Drive change management efforts related to process improvements and system enhancements, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption

Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage one US based individual contributor sales operations analyst

  • Lead, direct, and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team, department and organization

  • Influence diverse stakeholder groups and drive acceptance of policies, practices and procedures within broader area of responsibility

  • Influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization

  • Deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage success and promote colleague growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities

  • Own decision-making for staffing decisions for the team(s).

About the Team

You will work with the VP of sales to provide insights that will drive results for the business. You will also collaborate with VP’s direct reports, business partners across various teams (finance, commissions, data & analytics, etc.) to work on shared projects and produce outcomes. They will also work closely with other members of the sales operations team, particularly during planning cycles (July-February).

Hours of Work

  • Full Time, Permanent

  • This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days a week in our Clarivate office in Philadelphia or remote in Boston, Massachusetts.

Compensation - US Only

The expected base salary for this position is $109,000- $130,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
