POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Benefits Manager II is to manage best-in-class benefit options for Gentex team members and their families by managing the Request for Proposals (RFP) with vendors and lead vendor implementations. This role is also responsible for overseeing all Gentex Well-Being programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the project manager for RFP processes to evaluate potential vendors by identifying and managing internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Oversee the implementation process for new vendors, programs and/or audits.
- Propose benefit and well-being programing and implement challenges based on health data, member health assessments, health metrics, prior claims utilization and other trends of the Gentex population.
- Support open enrollment member education events.
- Strategically collaborate with external auditors to accurately assess vendor performance.
- Manage onsite health clinic, onsite team member screening events and the Gentex Employee Assistance Program.
- Manage ongoing wellness programs for the Gentex Wellness Center and through third party vendor to ensure member engagement and effective communication strategies.
- Ensure alignment of wellness programming with the Benefits team goals.
- Lead internal Wellness Coordinator, managing daily responsibilities and measuring performance.
- Manage Gentex Wellness Champion Program.
- Manage and organize group fitness schedule in Gentex Wellness Center.
- Promote Gentex wellness programing through external award applications and benchmarking.
- Other duties as assigned.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
- Balancing stakeholders – Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. Listening to understand and prioritizing requirements while keeping the stakeholders updated on project status.
- Communicating effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.
- Analytical thinking – Tackling a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.
- Attention to detail – Ensuring information is complete and accurate; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
- Project management - Applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to manage and meet project requirements.
- Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
- Maintaining a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
- Must follow HIPAA practices in all communication on medical benefit related matters.
WHAT TO BRING
- 4-year degree in Human Resources, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or another related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in well-being programming.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Experience in the administration of insurance and 401k retirement programs.
- Certification in Employee Benefits Specialist or Professional.
- SPHR Certification.
