About Purpose Jobs
Purpose Jobs is on a mission to create a sense of belonging at work.
We’re storytellers and community builders, helping companies, regions, and leaders grow their brands and tap into the largest community of purpose-driven startup & tech professionals.
About the Role
This internship is a blend of creative ideation and disciplined execution. You’ll be responsible for helping Purpose Jobs generate a steady stream of social content ideas and turning the best ideas into scheduled, published posts that strengthen our brand and drive engagement.
You’ll gain practical experience in content systems (calendars, workflows, approvals), writing for a defined audience, and using simple performance signals to improve week over week. You’ll also have opportunities to draft or refine posts for the CEO’s professional social presence from prompts or voice notes.
This is a high-output, high-learning role with room to expand into additional marketing responsibilities if there’s a mutual fit.
What You’ll Do
Core responsibilities
-
Content ideation + planning: Generate post ideas weekly, aligned to our content pillars (startup & tech, jobs, candidate tips, employer highlights, community/mission). Help maintain a simple “idea backlog.”
-
Write and draft posts: Create captions and post drafts in our brand voice for review/approval. The core platforms used are LinkedIn and Instagram, with LinkedIn being the #1 priority.
-
CEO social support: Incorporate the CEO’s personal brand voice into Purpose Jobs’ content strategy, drafting and polishing posts based on prompts, voice notes, live convos, or rough bullet points.
-
Content calendar management: Maintain a content calendar via Asana and keep everything organized (topics, assets, publish dates).
-
Scheduling + publishing: Schedule posts across LinkedIn and Instagram and ensure everything goes out on time.
-
Light community management: Check comments/DMs and respond or escalate when needed.
-
Basic reporting: Share a short weekly recap (posts shipped + what performed + simple takeaways).
If you’re performing well and have capacity, there’s room to take on additional marketing responsibilities over time, such as blog support (formatting/staging, editing, drafting), simple content repurposing across channels, media kit development, and more.
Tools we use
Google Drive/Docs, Asana (content calendar management), Hubspot, Canva, Notion, and CustomGPTs.
What success looks like (first 30 days):

Posts consistently scheduled and published on time
