Job Description and Requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure for our SaaS application using code.
- Automate security guardrails within our CI/CD pipelines and IaC deployments, writing robust tools and scripts.
- Lead the strategy for identity, access, network, and data security at the infrastructure level.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on secure development and deployment practices.
- Proactively identify and mitigate infrastructure-level security risks through code and automation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen that has and/or will maintain a U.S. Government-minimum Public Trust security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development (programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java). Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
- Minimum of years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Ability to take feedback and strive for continual improvement.
- Eager to learn and grow across multiple levels of the stack (both in software engineering and security areas)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government security clearance.
- Proven ability to design and implement security solutions for cloud-native
- applications.
- Extensive understanding of secure networking principles and practices in the cloud.
- Experience with modern vulnerability scanning tools and threat protection solutions.
Relevant certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their application in cloud security.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with alternative cloud providers, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is an asset.
