Are you a software engineer with a deep passion for cloud security and a knack for building rock-solid foundations? We're looking for a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to own and fortify the infrastructure layer of our rapidly scaling SaaS application.

You'll leverage your software engineering expertise to embed security into the very fabric of our cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP), designing and implementing automated controls that protect our customers' data at scale. Job Description and Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure for our SaaS application using code.
  • Automate security guardrails within our CI/CD pipelines and IaC deployments, writing robust tools and scripts.
  • Lead the strategy for identity, access, network, and data security at the infrastructure level.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams on secure development and deployment practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate infrastructure-level security risks through code and automation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen that has and/or will maintain a U.S. Government-minimum Public Trust security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development (programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java). Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
  • Minimum of years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Ability to take feedback and strive for continual improvement.
  • Eager to learn and grow across multiple levels of the stack (both in software engineering and security areas)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Proven ability to design and implement security solutions for cloud-native
  • applications.
  • Extensive understanding of secure networking principles and practices in the cloud.
  • Experience with modern vulnerability scanning tools and threat protection solutions.

Relevant certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100)
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their application in cloud security.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with alternative cloud providers, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is an asset.
