About the role

Robotire is seeking a talented and motivated Applications Engineer to join our team. As an Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers and ensuring the successful integration and implementation of our automated tire-changing solutions. You will work closely with our sales and engineering teams to provide technical expertise, develop customized solutions, and offer exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance and solutions.
  • Conduct detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of Robotire's automated tire-changing solutions for customer applications.
  • Develop and present product demonstrations and presentations to customers, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.
  • Assist in the customization and configuration of our systems to meet specific customer needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing equipment and processes.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to customers during the installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of our automated tire-changing solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging your expertise in robotics, automation, and mechanical systems.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights, communicating them effectively to internal teams for continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for customers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to operate and maintain our solutions effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations and insights to customers.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, application notes, and best practice guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Applications Engineer or in a similar customer-facing technical role, preferably in the field of automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of robotics, automation, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for installations, training, and technical support.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with automotive or tire industry processes and equipment is a plus.
