Job Summary
Under the direction of the Team Leader of Activations, the Activations Associate, will contribute to the development of the strategies, communications, coordination, and organization of activations in the form of pop-ups, art installations, décor, and activity-driven experiences. An activation is defined as the planning, design, and management of public-facing initiatives in Bedrock properties across Downtown Detroit & Downtown Cleveland that enhance the experience for residents, tenants, and visitors. In addition, the Activations Associate will buildout, support, and maintain project budgets all while enhancing & optimizing the Activations Team processes.
Bedrock Experience Team
As Bedrock’s Experience Team, we are dedicated to supporting local Detroit and Cleveland businesses and enhancing the greater community. Our primary focus is to provide tenants and business partners with the necessary tools and resources to be successful, in addition to creating both public and private activations. There are 3 main teams within Bedrock Experience which are Events, Activations & Programming, and Tenant Experience. The Experience Team curates Bedrock events and initiatives for internal teams, as well as Bedrock tenants and business partners. The team acts as an in-house concierge to ensure anyone who lives, works, or visits a Bedrock space has an amazing and unique experience!
Responsibilities

Support the development and delivery of innovative and community-focused activations in Detroit and Cleveland

Support the planning and execution of activation logistics and site operations

Contribute to the build out of yearly activation strategy and ensure project goals are achieved

Work with appropriate team members to develop scope, budget and timelines for projects

Coordinate meetings and working groups to ensure stakeholders are consistently communicated to and are meeting deadlines

Manage, track and report on project timelines and progression to ensure project goals are achieved

Oversee project budgets and executes on contracts and billing
-
Execute on project permitting

Coordinate project close out process and ensures all documents are recorded and saved

Manage internal and external relationships and partnerships

Provide support to the overall Experience Team, and Bedrock team members/tenants as needed

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree is preferred preferably in Event Management, Project Management, Hospitality, Communications, Business, Parks & Recreation, public relations, or related programs.

3 years of experience in Project Management, Event Logistics, Events Management, Experiential Marketing, Placemaking, or related field

Great attention to detail and high-level of organization to establish priorities and achieve results while working under pressure on multiple high-impact projects at once

Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to communicate project details to stakeholders

Ability to think creatively to introduce innovative ideas or concepts when planning activations
-
Skilled problem-solver: ability to foresee and alleviate risks that may arise during project planning process

Flexibility with working hours and ability to travel to Cleveland as needed
