The Director of Strategy & Business Operations is a critical part of Tableau Marketing’s team. We are looking for a strategy and transformation leader to drive integrated planning and operational excellence across the organization. This role connects the dots across all Tableau marketing functions and supports integrated planning, team development, growth initiatives, business operations, and data evaluation. The successful candidate is a strategic problem solver with the ability to develop key performance indicators while optimizing business processes to maximize time, resources, and impact.

Job Description:

  • Drive education and clarity around KPIs across functions and define, design, and interpret new metrics to monitor performance, evaluate resources, deliver actionable insights, and articulate success stories

  • Develop and lead all aspects of the roadmap, delivery and execution of key operational initiatives

  • Develop a feedback strategy & approach to keep a constant pulse on individual and team performance

  • Work with functional leads to proactively improve processes and propose solutions around:

    • Resourcing prioritization

    • Budget planning & management

    • Business priorities

    • Business tools

  • Identify cross-pollination opportunities across all functions to increase joint impact of marketing

  • Extend beyond Tableau Marketing to platforms like SF+, corporate/brand marketing, etc.

  • Drive team communications & alignment

  • Drive team culture initiatives

Director of Strategy and Business Operations

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing required

  • Strategic thinking to identify and understand the short and long-term goals of the organization and how to achieve them

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to disseminate information across the org

  • Demonstration of strong leadership skills to manage a team and establish priorities to deliver against short and long-term goals

  • Beginner’s mind to identify new and innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Persuasively present meaningful data to top decision-makers in concise executive presentations

  • Data analysis to interpret large and disparate data sets, draw conclusions from them and execute on insights

  • Ability to drive excellence in an ambiguous, frequently changing environment

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $193,800 to $281,100.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
