What you’ll be doing:
As a Database/DevOps Engineer at Salesforce, you will be part of a dynamic global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the growth needs of the business. You will be involved in projects that will optimize current services and work on building next generation software for the global production environment. You will collaborate with the Engineering and Development teams to ensure the designed service is fully operational with streamlined processes and procedures for ongoing support and maintenance.
Some of the things you'll be doing include...
Identify areas where software can be developed to provide detailed visibility into scheduling and ongoing activities to the customer.
Identify areas where automation can be developed to reduce errors, increase availability and velocity of operations.
Enhance our automation capabilities and embrace orchestration to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Design, develop and test software keeping a, b and c in mind and working with other engineers on the team.
Support Database operational work.
Enhance our automation capabilities and embrace orchestration to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Your technical skills should include
Must haves
- Excellent programming skills in Python / Java / Terraform / Go
- Must have an open mind to learn new technologies and concepts.
- Experience in Postgress, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Spinnaker is preferred.
- Knowledge in Oracle Database, Patching Oracle Database (RU/PSU), Troubleshooting etc
- Experience in public cloud skills
- Systems: Good understanding of Cloud Technologies like AWS
Nice to haves
- Knowledge in Elastic Search/Kibana stack.
- Knowledge in REST APIs.
