** Preference given to those located within close proximity to our Innovation Centers located in Bethlehem, PA, North Aurora, IL, Fort Worth, TX, and Moreno Valley, CA.

Role Description:

The Senior People Generalist – HQ / Global Supply Chain is a hands-on role that is tasked with providing full cycle Human Resources support including conflict and performance management, career planning, organizational development, and employee relations, to all employees, managers, and leaders throughout assigned departments. In addition, you will work closely with our business leaders to execute HR initiatives and strategies to guide organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, high performance, and compliance throughout your assigned departments. This position will work closely with and receive direct mentorship from our HRBPs with the career path of becoming an HRBP in the future. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Principal HRBP.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide full cycle HR support to operational leaders throughout the Global Supply Chain Team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource records and documentation, upholding compliance guidelines and regulations by performing periodic audits.
  • Play a supporting role in creating and conducting HR Program Audits across the Global Supply Chain
  • Update and maintain the Employee Relations Log.
  • Establish positive employee relations
  • Conduct thorough investigations supporting the conflict resolution process and act as a guide/coach to employees and managers while partnering with senior leadership on complex or high-risk employee issues.
  • Train, coach, and counsel managers on people matters and conflict management.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and people team departments, to include benefits, compensation, leave administration, talent, etc.
  • Assist in new hire onboarding experience, post-onboarding administration, new hire check-ins, and regular performance check-ins.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a performance-based culture.
  • Develop and Facilitate manager training programs
  • Assist with planning and execution of employee engagement activities/events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition, other events, etc.
  • Acts as HR representation during involuntary separation meetings.
  • Champions/acts as an ambassador for People team communications.
  • Offer consultation, facilitation and resolution strategies for employees on workplace issues.
  • Maintain a smooth onboarding & offboarding process for employees within assigned departments. (approvals, paperwork, E-Verify, H1B).
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations; performance improvement plans; disciplines and terminations when necessary.
  • Facilitate/administer performance management plans for employees and managers within assigned departments.
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure the company is operating within regulatory guidelines.
  • Create reports, compile and interpret data to steer business outcomes.
  • Assist in managing the open enrollment process within assigned departments
  • Ethics Enforcement - Mitigating potential people and business risks as they arise, such as disciplinary actions. Ensure policies, practices and procedures are administered fairly and consistently and applicable to local, state and federal laws.
  • Ensure people managers are trained on internal ShipBob policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in administering and interpreting employee engagement surveys.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Solid knowledge of general business practices / operations required.
  • A Minimum 5 years of Generalist experience required, preferably in a retail, warehousing, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly encouraged.
  • SPHR/PHR, SHRM credentials highly preferred.
  • High level of confidentiality and management experience with extremely sensitive information.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR practices with efficient processes to stay on top of constant changes.
  • Ability to interpret data, make recommendations, and act utilizing that data.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work with all levels of management.
  • Solid presentation, speaking, writing & communication skills to a wide range of group sizes.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $75,525 - $95,000 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $75,525 - $125,875. In addition to base salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company's discretionary bonus plan based on Company's plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
