THE OPPORTUNITY:

At Sibel Health, we are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge, scalable software systems for embedded devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and maintain security standards and processes for the whole organization with the objectives of securing our assets, infrastructure, and preventing access of information to unauthorized entities. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures based on security standards (NIST, ISO, etc.) and rules and regulations related to HIPAA.
  • Support security audits, risk analysis, and assessments.
  • Create and maintain documentation of security controls and process workflows.
  • Develop internal tooling to automate security detection and configuration.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineers to manage and improve the cybersecurity of Sibel’s cloud computing environment on AWS.
  • Provide technical security planning, implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting services on Sibel’s IT infrastructure.
  • Manage communications systems, network devices, routers, other access devices, and essential services that are part of Sibel’s IT infrastructure.
  • Perform upgrading, patching, hardening, and routine maintenance of Sibel’s IT infrastructure.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical/science program, or a degree in a related field and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, application security, security engineering or related security experience preferably from the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with securing resources in AWS and security services AWS.
  • Experience with application security, OWASP Top 10, SAST, and DAST solutions.
  • Knowledgeable with HITRUST, HIPAA, and SOC rules.
  • Knowledgeable on standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
