We are hiring an Architecture and Design Sales Manager to represent the Steelcase portfolio in the Boston and the greater New England market in its entirety while partnering with designers and architects to support their projects and goals of the firm. You will be working with the design community and simultaneously alongside our local Steelcase dealer partner establishing close partnerships as you strategize on a shared approach to the market.
What you will be doing:
- Develop close relationships with designers and design firms at multiple levels to uncover new opportunities for Steelcase Inc. and our partner brands.
- You will develop a deep understanding of the current workplace challenges and trends across multiple industries to become a knowledgeable resource for the clients you support.
- Lead project activity within your assigned accounts.
- Drive new business development activities in your territory and within accounts.
- Leverage Steelcase research and product to educate and inform design firms of trends and shifts related to people and place.
- Foster a strong partnership with our local dealer on design community marketing and branding strategies.
- Engage with the regional Steelcase team to bring in additional insights and perspectives when beneficial.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, interior design, business, or related
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Experience selling to or working within the design community
- Willingness to travel at least once a week with a possible overnight trip
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our dealer partner locations when not traveling
