Steelcase is hiring a Sales Services Project Specialist to deliver a premium Ancillary “concierge” customer experience by partnering with Sales, Dealers, and Designers to manage key accounts, bids/proposals, and daily operations across multiple business channels. This role serves as a product expert and escalation point, ensuring seamless pre-sell and order management support for both internal and external customers.

You’ll support meaningful work by:
- Coordinating bid proposal efforts by aligning internal resources to ensure timely and accurate submissions, driving increased Ancillary sales opportunities.
- Supporting Sales and Dealers with daily product quotes, bid/proposal assistance, and “Flip the Spec” opportunities, ensuring smooth pre-sell engagement for key accounts and projects.
- Managing pre-sell readiness by reviewing textiles, pricing, and special quotes, and maintaining active communication through calls, emails, and forecast reviews.
- Overseeing order management for key accounts and Portfolio Dealers, ensuring pre-sell commitments are met and supporting order clarifications, acknowledgments, and workflow changes.
- Providing concierge-level support to field sales, streamlining complex processes, and offering feedback to Marketing, Sales, and IT for continuous improvement.
- Contributing to team leadership and development, including time/attendance tracking, training, performance reviews, and active participation in business improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales support
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Associate's degree or higher
- Prior leadership experience (doesn’t have to be formal)
- Experience in the furniture industry
