Overview

The FP&A Manager is a highly impactful, highly visible position that reports to the Director, FP&A. This role will be a leader on the Finance team in developing, implementing, and managing world-class financial analysis and driving operational strategy while also providing FP&A partnership and support to business leaders across the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Finance leadership and functional leaders in development of (i) consolidated planning model, (ii) recurring Board-level financial reporting analysis, (iii) support quarterly board presentations and other CFO directives
  • Perform complex analysis to enable sound decision making and identify key business insights through data analysis and delivering synthesized and impactful communication that enables better business decisions and drive value creation
  • Analyze and interpret financial and operating results, including investigating variances and making recommendations on corrective actions
  • Act as an agile and trusted business partner that understands material business trends that impact company performance
  • Align with HR Business Partners to manage labor spend and resources
  • Lead FP&A partnership and provide recurring department level reporting/analysis, budget/forecast support, ad-hoc/special projects by understanding their business challenges and delivering relevant analysis
  • Own the quarterly forecast and FP&A month-end close process, including coordination of tasks and development of Board presentation
  • Provide Corporate reporting/analysis, Budget/forecast support, ad-hoc/special projects by understanding their business challenges
  • Define and implement metrics that matter and reporting tools to provide insight into business performance; develop meaningful KPIs from the data
  • Assist with the development of the corporate planning and analysis tool, Adaptive Planning; recommend and support development of other data analysis tools
  • Support M&A transaction integration by collaborating cross functionally to help coordinate the flow of information and analytics; update consolidated models for proforma results and projections
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Skills Required

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and experience with planning software tools (Ex. Adaptive), ERP/CRM systems (Ex. NetSuite/Salesforce) and BI tools (Ex. Power BI)
  • Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including writing, articulating, listening, and questioning skills), and strong interpersonal skills to communicate across functions and executive/management levels
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions through data-driven insights
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable analysis that tells a “story” and ability to adjust messages as needed given the audience
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Seeking continuous improvement
  • Ability to navigate, adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy with the ability to work both independently and with superior business partnering skills
  • Ability to balance a strong attention to detail with seeing the "big picture"

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results under deadlines
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into financial outcomes and actionable insights

Qualifications Required:

  • BS/BBA degree in Finance or Economics required
  • MBA, MS Analytics, or similar analytical Master’s-level Degree preferred
  • 7+ years experience in a corporate Finance/FP&A and decision-support roles required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and success in financial modeling, insight generation/analysis, and executive communication
  • Prior experience managing people or leading through influence (mentoring, coaching, or driving cross-functional initiatives)
  • Experience working in a private equity environment preferred
