Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for top‑of‑funnel pipeline creation through timely, high‑quality engagement with prospects. This role focuses on inbound lead qualification, outbound outreach, CRM accuracy, and smooth handoff to the Account Executive (AE) team. The SDR plays a critical part in symplr’s revenue engine by ensuring leads are qualified quickly, nurtured appropriately, and documented accurately in Salesforce.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead Qualification & Pipeline Generation
    • Review and disposition inbound leads daily within required SLAs.
    • Conduct qualification calls to assess prospect fit and readiness.
    • Research contacts using Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn to validate ICP alignment.
    • Execute outbound outreach using approved Outreach.io sequences.
    • Personalize emails and LinkedIn messages using prospect‑specific insights.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Participate in cross functional syncs to align opportunity status and prospecting strategy.
    • Join monthly meetings with sales leadership for updates and performance coaching.
    • Work cross‑functionally to ensure timely, accurate handoff of Leads.
  • CRM & Data Hygiene
    • Maintain up‑to‑date, accurate lead and activity records in Salesforce.
    • Follow daily CRM hygiene checklists to prevent errors and incomplete fields.
    • Ensure Outreach.io activity logging syncs properly with Salesforce.
  • Performance Execution & Standards
    • Meet and exceed daily activity targets
    • Respond to MQLs within the required SLA(s)
    • Maintain a high conversion rate
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify workflow inefficiencies and log daily task reporting in Salesforce.
    • Participate in monthly skill‑building (micro‑learning, role‑play, LinkedIn Learning).

Skills Required

  • Required
    • Strong communication skills (phone, written, and digital).
    • Ability to manage time across multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Comfort working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
    • Ability to follow structured workflows and documented processes.
    • Coachable, adaptable, and motivated to learn sales best practices.
    • Reliable internet access and ability to work in a remote environment.
    • Goal Driven
  • Preferred
    • Experience with Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
    • Prior exposure to customer service, sales, or lead qualification.
    • Familiarity with ICP concepts, outbound sequences, and multi‑channel outreach.
