Tangram Flex is seeking a Data Analyst with 5 years of experience to support ongoing Department of Defense (DoD) programs in the Dayton, Ohio area. POSITION DESCRIPTION //

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, implementation and sustainment of complex systems. Working with teams onsite at WPAFB, office and remotely in the Dayton area.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze datasets using SQL and relational database systems.
• Create clear, impactful data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to communicate trends and findings.
• Utilize Python (pandas or polars, matplotlib) for data cleaning, transformation, statistical analysis, and automation.
• Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to define analytical requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify operational patterns and performance metrics relevant to mission objectives.
• Ensure compliance with DoD data security and privacy standards throughout all analytics processes.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE //

Required:

• Active DoD Security Clearance or held within the last 12 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and relational databases.
• 5+ years of Tableau experience for dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Working knowledge of Python, specifically pandas or polars for data analysis and matplotlib for visualizations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Preferred :

• Experience supporting DoD or federal government data initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel by air, car, or other transportation methods.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours/day).
• Ability to lift and carry lightweight items (e.g., laptops, demo equipment, marketing materials) up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, using a mouse, writing, and handling equipment.
• Visual acuity to read detailed technical documents, view computer screens, and operate software systems.
• Auditory ability to participate in meetings, customer demos, and conference calls, including in potentially noisy environments (e.g., trade shows or military facilities).
• Mobility to move between office spaces, customer sites, conference venues, and manufacturing or lab environments.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., corporate offices, government buildings, industrial or lab spaces).
