Customer Relationships
- Build deep, valuable, long-lasting customer relationships to boost engagement, advocacy, and expansion, including building personal relationships with our most senior customers.
- Understand our customers’ research strategies and current pain points, and develop a plan for solving them with Tempus products and services.
- Connect healthcare organization customers with research sponsors, using industry expertise to identify opportunities for collaboration and joint research.
- Become a credible advisor to our customers, sharing best practices on how to create a modern, innovative clinical research organization for investigator-initiated, grant funded, and industry sponsored studies.
- Design, execute, and track client-specific success plans to boost operational and financial client KPIs.
- Create and deliver structured, repeatable account business reviews that clearly communicate value realized.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical trainers to make sure training supports workflows and rollout plans to meet the needs of our customers.
- Collaborate with the connectivity team, data engineers and data science teams to make sure client data pipelines are robust and meet future research needs.
- Understand and provide feedback on the product roadmap.
Process Development
- Contribute to playbooks for delivering, evaluating, and communicating value to clients.
- Define best practices for robust, tech-enabled clinical trials sites.
- Contribute to internal infrastructure to grow account management function .
Client Management
- Work with customer stakeholders to define strategic plans to incorporate Tempus products into overall clinical trial workflows (site recruitment planning and implementation, department rollout planning, multi-site rollout planning).
- Follow up with users after the completion of training and provide periodic in-person or online follow-up training options to end-users.
- Provide consultative support to customers in driving productivity.
- Become a recognized expert in product/clinical technical competencies, and the go to resource to answer a wide range of questions concerning the software and clinical workflows.
- Drive additional value by encouraging deeper feature adoption.
- Analyze problems or issues, research solutions, and communicate the best options to end-users.
Sales & Marketing
- Work with sales to understand contract terms, key relationships, and opportunities to expand at each account.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare collateral and presentations for customer opportunities.
- Collect valuable references across each department.
- Collect qualitative and quantitative, ROI-based case studies across each department.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years experience in clinical research, life sciences or CRO operations.
- Must have clinical trials experience and a strong point of view on how our customers can use Tempus products to improve their clinical trial operations. Experience with study sponsors (life sciences companies) is a plus.
- Must have experience overseeing projects that require cross-team collaboration .
- Must have strong business judgement and a sense for how to quantify value to clients.
- Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Able to work in a startup environment, helping to create new processes and structures.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated, dependable, flexible, and autonomous with ability to prioritize.
- Clinical B2B SaaS product experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical or scientific area or equivalent experience required.

Illinois Pay Range: $75,000 - $105,000
The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
