OUR MISSION

Imagine building a better healthcare journey for cancer patients, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for our members but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

YOUR ROLE

The Manager, Licensing & Credentialing will be responsible for managing the licensure and credentialing process for our medical providers and nurses to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You will be accountable to expand our foundational licensing and credentialing function, including:

  • Completion, submission, and follow-up of new licensure for providers and nurses. This includes verification of training, education, certifications, etc.
  • Monitoring & execution of licensing and credentialing renewals for providers and nurses, ensuring all licenses and credentials are up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements to include post-license actions needed, CME tracking, etc.
  • Communication with licensing boards, credentialing agencies, and healthcare providers to resolve issues or discrepancies in their documentation
  • Building and improving our internal licensing & credentialing processes to include tracking, monitoring, communication pathways, and documentation
  • Coordination of local vendors in support of the licensing process, such as mobile notary service, mobile fingerprinting services, etc.
  • Working closely with Thyme Care Clinical Compliance and Care Delivery leaders to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Working in partnership with our physician, APP, and nurse teams and leaders to create a low friction internal process

This role will start as both a licensing and credentialing SME as well as an executor. You will need to be comfortable flexing between independent work, communicating with external parties such as state medical boards, and working with provider and nurse teams. You will report to our Director, Care Delivery and work cross-functionally with our Legal & Compliance, Care Delivery, and People teams.

After your first three months, you will:

  • Understand the licensed role types within Thyme Care and have mastery of execution for each
  • Built a scalable, compliant infrastructure for our licensing & credentialing function, to include the assessment of internal and external tools
  • Be able to independently lead and execute the licensing & credentialing day-to-day functions
  • Have helped to develop and/or improve SOPs related to physician and nurse licensure
  • Have built strong, trusting relationships with your team, where listening and empathy are the foundation for every interaction.
  • Cultivate a culture of growth mindset, continuous learning and improvement, and service delivery excellence.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Your resume and prior roles reflect:Minimum 3-5 years leading a licensing and credentialing function (required)

    • At least 5 years experience in a Series A-C healthcare startup (required)
    • Experience building, scaling and roadmapping for a licensing & credentialing function
    • Previous experience handling licensure for physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, to include experience with IMLC, Nurse Compacts, CAQH, and FCVS

Move with purpose. You’re biased to action. You know how to identify and prioritize your needs and do what it takes to ensure that urgent and important needs are acted on immediately.

Attention to detail. You are driven by operational excellence and you understand the importance of detail and accuracy in the licensing process. You are driven to create a high-touch, communicative, low-friction experience for our licensed team members.

Seek diverse perspectives. You are humble and proactively seek feedback from others. You’re always looking to learn and grow. You approach your leadership from a place of curiosity and collaboration. You begin by listening to others to build rapport and develop great working relationships with members and colleagues.

Comfort with ambiguity. You have a proven track record of success within scaling businesses, fast-paced environments, and/or startups. You understand that rapid changes to the business, strategy, organization, and priorities are par for the course.

Operator mindset. You can break things down into actionable steps and execute plans with ease. You’re comfortable surfacing blockers to plans and pivoting based on real-time feedback as needed.
