The Sr. Financial Systems Analyst is a full-time position responsible for analyzing finance system business problems and implementing solutions within our tech stack. You will support the finance community by eliciting, configuring and managing requirements and specifications. You will also execute a variety of testing disciplines (test plans, scripts, unit testing and user acceptance) to drive development and validate results.

You will be both strategic and hands-on with a strong ability to communicate objectives, translate business requirements into technical solutions, configure finance systems, develop plans and deliver results.

This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Manager of Financial Systems.

You'll Get To…

  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Convert business requirements into user stories and workflows for solutioning and mockups, with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Deliver product configuration, report and integration changes as a result of user stories, breakfix and enhancement requests.
  • Manage small projects related to finance platforms as assigned.
  • Maintain system and process flows documentation as required.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized technical and business presentations.
  • Attend daily standups to provide progress metrics.
  • Train users in using the system according to process best practices
  • Provide business as usual support including but not limited to admin support for refreshes, upgrades and deployments.

Who We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of implementing or supporting finance applications with specific knowledge of finance accounting, planning, procurement & finance reporting modules
  • Experience with NetSuite and Vertex
  • Advanced data skills, in particular around data validation, pivot tables and reporting financial data
  • Experience creating and maintaining process and technical documentation
  • Expert in business workflow modeling
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Thorough understanding of version control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices
  • Willingness to expand knowledge across financial systems such as NSPB, Floqast, Workiva, Zip, and ADP.
  • Ability to navigate complex financial and business processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Results and solutions driven with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

Cash Compensation Range: $126,500 - $175,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
