The Growth group is looking for an Engineering Team Manager for our Activation team. You'll lead an experienced group of engineers dedicated to optimizing the crucial early stages of our user's journey. Our Activation team's mission is to drive user engagement and conversion by creating a seamless and compelling experience from the moment a user starts their trial through their first successful sale.

You will report to the Group Engineering Manager, Activation. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week.

You'll Get To…

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-7 software engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive technical strategy and roadmap development for the Activation team, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-quality features.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and support the career growth of your team members.

Who We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software projects.
  • Strong technical background in Javascript, React, or similar Frontend frameworks
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle in an agile environment.
  • A passion for building user-centric products and optimizing user experience

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - $247,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
