To support Veeam’s growth, the company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Internal Communications Specialist to help drive engagement across the company’s growing employee base. This role will support the Director of Global Internal Communications in the planning and delivery of major corporate announcements, launches, events and key channels.

Responsibilities

  • Use well accepted standard communication frameworks and approaches
  • Create communications plans for discrete initiatives
  • Develop project plans considering all steps for project success—including what others need to do, blockers or dependencies
  • Create concepts that tie campaign materials together to tell a concerted story
  • Develop primary and secondary messages
  • Able to write, edit, copy edit materials for all content types
  • Manage and update the company’s intranet, global Microsoft Teams channel and Veeam TV with relevant content as per content plans
  • Be a SME for the Internal Communication tools, helping other users with their needs and maximize the tools for global campaigns
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and provide recommendations
  • Adopt test and try tactics to iterate on current ideas and adopt new approaches
  • Act as team liaison and lead when appointed in designated meetings and planning sessions
  • Build relationships across functions to maintain visibility of communication opportunities or campaign conflicts
  • Monitor and execute on communication requests submitted through Internal Communications in-take channels
  • Drive the process for creating the monthly Internal Communications global newsletter
  • Manage to a budget
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in Communications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism
  • Ability to work on a wide range of projects simultaneously and across time zones
  • Proven work experience devising communications for programs related to Human Resources and Sales
  • Exceptional writer and copyeditor
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, Confluence)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality, be open to others’ ideas, and exhibit curiosity
  • SharePoint experience
  • Exposure to graphic design principles
  • Working knowledge of creative tools for visual communications (e.g., Canva)
  • Minimum three years of experience in an employee communications role
  • Agency or enterprise company experience

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
