In order to grow, consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands spend 20% of their topline revenue to get into retailers and promote their products within those retailers. The problem is that today 70% of those promotions are not ROI positive. This is because ROI is hard to track. The industry operates on emails, pdfs, and xls spreadsheets. At Vividly, we’re solving this massive problem with exciting tactics including AI, Machine Learning, and Fintech and adding value to everyone in the chain. We are looking for a Sr. Account Executive to help us reach our goals!
Who you are:
You are passionate about the CPG space, a self-starter and possess a high level of emotional intelligence and curiosity. You are comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and dynamic environment and most importantly, you love to solve complex business challenges for customers. You want to make a meaningful impact on the growth of the organization. We are looking for an experienced salesperson who has a consultative sales approach, a successful track record growing and onboarding clients, and polished presentation skills. You will ultimately be responsible for your own success, ensuring incremental growth in monthly recurring revenue by acquiring new logos, while providing the best experience possible for our customers.
The key responsibilities & impact this role will have:
- Build, develop, and nurture relationships within target accounts to drive new logo acquisition and achieve sales goals.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and close, with a focus on defining business value to key stakeholders.
- Generate and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, self-sourced leads, and collaboration with Marketing and SDRs.
- Conduct detailed discovery to uncover customer pain points, identify inefficiencies, quantify their challenges and present tailored solutions aligned with their needs.
- Lead complex, multi-threaded deals involving multiple decision-makers, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams—Product Development, Marketing, and Customer Success—to deliver long-term customer success and satisfaction.
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through strategic planning and proactive pipeline management using Salesforce.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment, actively supporting shared goals and fostering cross-functional success.
You will be successful with:
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS selling, with demonstrated success managing complex, multi-threaded sales cycles.
- Must have formal training in and a strong belief in a consultative sales methodology, with a commitment to understanding customer needs, quantifying business challenges, and driving collaborative discovery to deliver value-based solutions. Experience with frameworks such as Jeff Thull’s Mastering the Complex Sale (preferred), MEDDIC, SPIN Selling, Challenger Sale, or Sandler methodologies is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to engage with senior executives and C-suite leaders, driving value-based sales and building trusted partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple pipelines efficiently.
- Persistent and self-motivated, with a track record of independently driving results through outbound prospecting and self-sourced leads.
- Creative problem-solver who excels at tailoring solutions to uncover hidden pain points and deliver customer value in resistant industries.
- Detail-oriented and strategic thinker with a relationship-focused approach to long-term customer success.
- Resilient and resourceful, with the ability to adapt to challenges and setbacks while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a team-first environment.
- Experience leveraging partnerships to grow relationships and drive customer success.
- Familiarity with CPG sales or experience working with CPG brands is a strong advantage.
