This role is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and support of complex, large‑scale banking solutions that operate in a highly regulated, high‑volume environment. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader across mainframe and distributed platforms, driving engineering best practices, ensuring production stability, and enabling safe and timely delivery of business‑critical initiatives. In this role, you will partner closely with cross‑functional teams, senior technology leaders, and business stakeholders to analyze complex system behaviors, influence architectural decisions, and guide the modernization of core banking capabilities. While deep expertise in Hogan IDS and Zafin is essential, this position is not limited to mainframe technologies. The role will offer opportunities to work with hybrid architectures, APIs, cloud platforms, GenAI enablement, and emerging technologies helping to evolve the core banking landscape while maintaining operational excellence.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting Hogan IDS deposit processing workflows, release activities, implementation readiness, and coordination of production validation with cross‑functional partners

  • Strong background in COBOL, IMS, JCL, and Endevor within a z/OS environment

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting batch cycles and online transaction processing in high‑volume financial systems

  • Proven experience in incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and on‑call support within a 24x7 regulated banking environment

  • Ability to perform impact analysis and deliver safe, controlled changes to mission‑critical, high‑volume banking platforms

  • Experience designing, consuming, and testing APIs, including mainframe integration with distributed systems using REST, JSON, messaging, and tools such as z/OS Connect and Postman

  • Experience supporting or integrating mainframe platforms with distributed and cloud‑based systems

  • Experience supporting or integrating Zafin with core banking platforms (Hogan), including understanding of product pricing, fees, interest calculations, account lifecycle, and batch and real‑time data flows

  • Experience leveraging GenAI tools to improve delivery efficiency, including drafting or refining test documentation and accelerating analysis and validation activities; familiarity with enterprise GenAI tools such as M365 Copilot

  • Ability to interpret complex data flows, reconcile results across systems, identify defects with potential customer impact, and connect technical behavior to business outcomes Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts in business terms, provide status and validation updates, support documentation and knowledge transfer, and mentor junior engineers

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal oversight, manage deliverables end‑to‑end, and ensure timely and high‑quality execution

  • Exposure to Azure cloud concepts or certifications, DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices in hybrid environments

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and experience working within enterprise banking architecture frameworks

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
