Clarity on the Role:

The Director, Editorial will conceptualize and create memorable campaigns, content, and marketing which further Wellvana’s mission to make primary care life-changing.

Our ideal candidate runs fast, owns projects and content calendars, and delivers work that is on brand, emotionally resonant, and audience relevant.

Longform, short form, executive comms, brochures, landers, ads, concepts, video scripts, headlines, you can do it all, sweating every story choice and seeing the beauty in delivering a consistent brand experience that makes every touchpoint a “tell your friends” moment.

Versatility is a pre-requisite, and you will need to comfortably shift between punchy copywriting and strategic thought leadership that breaks down the complexities of healthcare with clarity.

Whether you’re a journalist with a healthcare Substack or a copywriter/creative director in an agency setting who doesn’t know the difference between an EMR and an AWV, all writers are welcome to apply. A good story is a good story. Candidates with demonstrated portfolios of captivating, memorable storytelling will be prioritized.

This position is hybrid and ideally works from Nashville headquarters at least 3 days per week. Some travel may be required.

The role lives on the Experience Team and reports to the Sr. Director, Brand Strategy, working closely with CRM, Events, Growth, Partner Success and Executive Leadership.

What's Expected:

  • A Master Storyteller: You’ll write and collaborate on branded content (e.g., our monthly insights report, Gleams), marketing materials and virtual events (e.g., Real Talk webinars), ensuring a consistent brand story across touchpoints.
  • Executive Whisperer: Work with executive leadership, ghostwriting and shaping important internal and external comms while also prepping leaders for interview and speaking opportunities, including development of presentations, talking points, briefing documents, and other written and visual materials as needed.
  • Industry Newshound: You stay on top of industry trends (both healthcare and content/marketing) and weigh in on the right topics when appropriate, sharing information across the organization to grow team knowledge.
  • Content Strategist: Oversee content strategy across earned and owned media that ladders up to key KPIs across different audiences.
  • Community Management: Manage Wellvana’s presence on earned, owned and shared platforms across the digital landscape.
