A Bit About Us
Xellia is a 120-year-old company with a refreshingly start-up feel inside. We’ve spent more than a century at the forefront of anti-infective medicine — quietly making a difference to patients all over the world — and we’re just as ambitious today as we were a hundred years ago.

We’ve recently refreshed our brand under a simple, human idea: We’re Your People. It’s built on the strong relationships and trusted partnerships that have always defined us, and it puts the real Xellians — the warm, expert, dedicated team behind the science — front and center. Now we need someone to help us bring that brand to life, beautifully and consistently, everywhere it shows up.

The Role
This is a graphic design-led role with the creative range to produce content across video, audio, and more — spanning both digital and print. You’ll be the person who takes our refreshed visual identity and makes it real: every layout, every brochure, every social asset, every campaign, every internal slide. Whoever encounters Xellia, wherever they encounter us, will see and feel the same brand.

You’ll report directly to the Senior Brand & Marketing Manager — think of yourself as their creative sidekick — and you’ll sit within a talented, experienced corporate communications team. Together, you’ll support the whole team to tell Xellia’s story, inside and out, to colleagues, customers, partners, and the wider world.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, often reactive environment where briefs can land short and deadlines can move quickly. Sometimes you’ll be handed a polished brief; other times you’ll be given a few words and the trust to turn them into something brilliant. Either way, you’ll have an ambitious, supportive team around you that believes good creative makes a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing for the Brand

  • Designing on-brand visual content across digital and print — brochures, reports, social posts, campaign assets, presentations, event collateral, internal communications, and more.
  • Securing our refreshed visual identity wherever Xellia shows up — acting as a guardian of the brand and helping colleagues across the business understand and apply it confidently.
  • Evolving and extending our visual system as we grow — building templates, layouts, and assets that make it easier for the whole organization to stay on-brand.
  • Bringing a sharp eye for typography, layout, color, and composition to everything you make, whether it lives on a screen or on a printed page.

Producing Content That Tells Our Story

  • Producing video content end-to-end — both short-form (social, internal updates) and longer-form (interviews, story-led pieces) — from brief or concept through to publish-ready cut.
  • Editing and producing podcast episodes — audio editing, intros and outros, the lot.
  • Translating ideas into content — someone gives you a sentence, you give them a story.
  • Supporting the wider corporate communications team across whatever they need to bring Xellia’s story to life — inside and out.

Working With the Team

  • Working hand-in-hand with the Senior Brand & Marketing Manager — as their creative right hand — and supporting the whole corporate communications team across their priorities.
  • Partnering with colleagues across marketing, comms, HR, and leadership to capture moments, stories, and announcements as they happen.
  • Bringing fresh content ideas into planning and ideation — we want your point of view, not just your hands.
  • Managing your own workload across multiple live projects, keeping everyone informed on timelines and progress.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a graphic design or creative content role, with a portfolio that shows strong design fundamentals — typography, layout, hierarchy, brand application — across digital and print.
  • Confident across Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign as your daily tools, plus Premiere, After Effects, and Audition (or equivalent audio editing).
  • A genuine eye for brand consistency and the discipline to protect it, even when timelines are tight.
  • Practical experience producing video content — both short and long form — from edit through to publish. You don’t need to direct shoots, but you should be comfortable shaping raw material into a polished story.
  • Comfort working at pace, switching between projects, and turning things around quickly when needed.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Nice-to-Haves

  • Photography skills — the ability to shoot and edit to a good standard, capturing real Xellians in their real environments.
  • Experience producing podcasts or longer-form audio content.
  • Familiarity with the rhythms of social platforms — LinkedIn especially — and what makes content land there.
  • Exposure to B2B, corporate, or regulated industry environments — or comfort getting up to speed quickly on complex subject matter.
  • Motion design or animation on top of static design.

The Kind of Person Who’ll Thrive Here
Someone warm, curious, and quietly confident in their craft. You take design seriously but don’t take yourself too seriously. You’re happy to turn around a beautifully designed report one morning, edit a video story that afternoon, and spend the next day getting the kerning right on a single headline.

Most of all, you care. About the work, about the people you’re making it for, and about the brand you’re helping to build.

Why Xellia
Because you’ll be joining at a genuinely exciting moment — a refreshed brand, real momentum, and the rare combination of a 120-year heritage with a start-up energy inside. Because the work matters: the medicines we make help patients in some of the most critical moments of their lives. And because here, you’re not just a hire — you’re one of us.

Please submit your CV as soon as possible. We review applications on an ongoing basis and look forward to hearing from you. The position will remain open until we have found the right candidate.
