The AI Enablement team builds foundational AI capabilities that transform Kroger and 84.51°. The AI SDLC Team focuses on evolving how software is built across the enterprise by leveraging AI-powered development tools, frameworks, and best practices.

As the Lead Product Manager, you will own the product strategy and execution for AI-powered software development tools and SDLC transformation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, software engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand their needs, enable teams with reusable tools and patterns, and drive the evolution of the enterprise SDLC through AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the product roadmap, backlog prioritization, and value delivery for AI-powered SDLC tooling and strategy.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to identify opportunities to improve the SDLC using AI.
  • Translate business needs and developer workflows into product requirements, epics, and user stories.
  • Define and deliver scalable tools, frameworks, and repeatable patterns that enable teams to adopt AI in their development workflows.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, and data science teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.
  • Manage multiple backlogs and priorities across cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Define success metrics and measure adoption, value realization, and efficiency improvements across the SDLC.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive continuous discovery through stakeholder interviews, research, and analysis of user workflows.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, security, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Professional work experience in artificial intelligence or generative AI applications.
  • Experience managing or developing products or tooling for software developers and/or data scientists.
  • Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as a Product Manager or Software Engineer.
  • Strong technical acumen – ability to engage with engineering teams, understand technical tradeoffs, and influence decisions.
  • Experience in Agile product development and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization, and end-to-end product delivery.
  • Stakeholder management skills – ability to influence and align across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience using coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI).
  • Experience developing or using MCP servers.
  • Experience creating or using Agent Skills and Agent Plugin Marketplaces.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI chat tools (e.g., M365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
  • Prior experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Product Manager.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in evolving problem spaces.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • 4–6 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Transparency and Benefits

  • The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.
