As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Covideo, you are the critical first connection with potential customers and an important driver of our sales pipeline. This is a high-volume, outbound-focused role centered on performing cold calls to targeted automotive dealerships to generate and secure high-quality sales appointments.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for navigating organizations, identifying key decision-makers, and consistently securing meetings that successfully show up for our Account Executives. Success in this role requires discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to hitting and exceeding ambitious outbound activity and conversion targets.

BDR Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on outbound cold calling to target accounts, specifically automotive dealerships, to initiate conversations and build rapport.
  • Book and qualify high-quality, product-demonstration appointments for Account Executives, ensuring a high 'show rate' is maintained.
  • Execute a high-volume, multi-channel outreach cadence (phone, email, video) with a strong emphasis on consistent, daily phone activity.
  • Proactively research and qualify prospects within target accounts to understand their business challenges and tailor the Covideo value proposition.
  • Leverage and meticulously update Salesforce to manage prospecting activities, log interactions, and accurately forecast the meeting pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Covideo platform, competitive landscape, and relevant market trends.
  • Consistently meet and exceed weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for activity, conversation rates, and monthly qualified appointment quotas.
  • Actively participate in professional development and coaching sessions to continuously refine outbound selling skills and maximize team success.
  • Report weekly on personal performance metrics to internal stakeholders.

BDR Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a high-volume outbound calling, sales, or lead generation environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to professionally and effectively conduct high-volume cold calls with a demonstrated low fear of rejection.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills and a strong, professional phone presence are mandatory.
  • Highly organized and disciplined, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict daily and weekly KPIs.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and coachable, driven by hitting and exceeding defined sales targets and quotas.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and the ability to maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities.

Career Advancement

Consistent, high-level performance in the BDR role provides a direct pathway for internal promotion to an Account Executive (AE) position, where you will manage and close your own pipeline of business. This role is viewed as the primary development track for future sales closers at Covideo.
