About the Role:
As a Product Marketing Manager at Grindr, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying the core user experience that powers our community — from browsing and chatting to making meaningful connections. You will lead go-to-market strategies, influence product direction, and ensure that the voice of our users is embedded in everything we build.
This highly cross-functional role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Data, and Marketing. Your mission: craft strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement across Grindr’s most essential product experiences, helping millions of people connect in more authentic and valuable ways.
What's the job?
Synthesize Insights: Turn customer, market, and competitive insights into actionable recommendations that shape Grindr’s core product experience.
Strategic Influence: Partner with Product and Design to guide roadmap priorities and feature development, ensuring that enhancements to the core experience meet user needs and business goals.
GTM Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for product launches, including winning naming, messaging, positioning, and campaign narratives. Set goals and metrics for success, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution.
Lifecycle Impact: Drive strategies across the full user journey — from awareness and onboarding to engagement, reactivation, and retention.
Problem-Solving: Tackle complex challenges with a strategic mindset, creating thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
Measure Success: Define KPIs, track adoption and engagement metrics, evaluate campaign performance, and continuously iterate to maximize product and marketing impact.
What we'll love about you
Experience: 8+ years of experience delivering successful go-to-market, engagement, and growth strategies, with 5+ years specifically in product marketing, ideally within the tech or dating app industry.
Action-Oriented: Proactive, collaborative, and a master of simplification. You continually push towards clarity and driving delivery of strong results.
Self-Starter: Hard-working, detail-oriented, and organized. You thrive in challenging environments and are undeterred by complexity.
Master Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting and sharing work with executive leadership. Strong interpersonal skills to influence and motivate people at all levels across various functions.
Product Marketing Mindset: Ability to distill the essence of complex products and convey the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy, effective strategies, and impactful go-to-market plans.
Lifecycle Expertise: Deep understanding of the customer lifecycle — from acquisition and onboarding through engagement, retention, and reactivation — with the ability to design marketing strategies that maximize user value at every stage.
Analytical Skills: Outstanding ability to use data to craft insightful stories, inform strategies, and guide decision-making.
We'll really swoon if you
