About The Team

Grindr is an AI-native platform powering how millions of gay people connect globally. With 15M+ monthly users, 130B+ annual messages, and a team of fewer than 200, we move fast, stay lean, and tackle technical problems at a scale few companies ever see.

Woodwork is Grindr's men's health telehealth initiative — and it operates like a startup within a startup. We're a five-person team with a strong product foundation, an engaged user base, and the distribution advantages of one of the most culturally relevant platforms in the LGBTQ+ community. We need a growth product leader who obsesses over what happens after a user shows interest — the conversion flows, onboarding experience, and activation moments that turn curiosity into a first purchase and a first purchase into a long-term patient. You'll own the product-led growth engine for a telehealth product with built-in distribution to millions.

At Grindr, we operate in Grindr Mode. Moderately hardcore day to day, truly hardcore when it counts. It's about doing great work without burning out. Outcomes over outputs. Smart, driven people who raise your bar, with room to live full lives.

This is a hybrid role based in our SF, New York, Chicago or LA offices and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Role Requirements

  • Own the end-to-end conversion funnel for Woodwork — from first touchpoint through onboarding, clinical intake, checkout, and first-time purchase. Every point of friction is yours to find and fix.
  • Drive product-led growth through experimentation and in-funnel optimization, partnering closely with engineering and design to ship tests that measurably improve activation, conversion, and early retention.
  • Partner with marketing to connect acquisition channels to the in-product experience — ensuring what's promised in campaigns is delivered in the funnel, and that funnel data informs channel strategy.
  • Navigate the unique constraints of a HIPAA-regulated product — onboarding flows involving clinical intake, identity verification, and prescription workflows require thoughtful UX that balances compliance with conversion.
  • Use data, experimentation, and qualitative research to inform decisions and measure impact. Build a rigorous testing culture on a small team where every experiment earns its place.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical ops, legal, marketing, and the broader Grindr product org to ensure Woodwork's growth surfaces integrate seamlessly with the platform experience.

You May Thrive In This Role If You

  • 8+ years of product management experience with deep expertise in product-led growth, conversion optimization, or growth product work on consumer-facing mobile or web platforms.
  • Have a zero-to-one track record — you've built growth loops, onboarding flows, or activation funnels from scratch at a hyper-growth or mid-stage company. You know the difference between optimizing a million-user funnel and building one from 15 signups a day.
  • Are obsessed with funnels — you see drop-off rates and immediately start forming hypotheses. You can map a multi-step conversion flow from memory and identify the highest-leverage intervention points.
  • Have a strong experimentation mindset — you've built or run testing programs, know how to design experiments with statistical rigor, and can make smart calls with imperfect data when sample sizes are small.
  • Are comfortable operating with high autonomy on a small team. You don't wait for a roadmap — you identify the biggest growth levers and build the case for what to ship next.
  • Are a strong cross-functional operator who partners effectively with engineering, design, clinical ops, marketing, and legal to drive alignment and ship with speed.

Nice To Have’s

  • Experience with healthcare or clinical onboarding flows — prescription, telehealth intake, identity verification, or insurance eligibility.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-constrained analytics environments — consent frameworks, pixel restrictions, and privacy-safe measurement.
  • Experience working on growth within a marketplace, subscription, or two-sided platform.
  • Track record of improving conversion or activation metrics by meaningful margins through product changes, not just marketing changes.
  • Passion for building products and services that meaningfully serve the LGBTQ+ community.

Benefits And Perks

  • Health, Dental & Vision Full premium coverage for you. Partial coverage for dependents.
  • Family Formation Up to $300,000 in fertility and family-building support, covering IVF, surrogacy, egg freezing, and adoption.
  • Retirement: 401(k) with 6% match and immediate vesting.
  • Compensation: Industry-competitive compensation, company bonus, and equity for every employee.
  • Gender-Affirming Care : Industry-leading gender-affirming offerings with up to 90% cost coverage, access to Included Health, monthly stipends for HRT, and more.
  • Time Off & Rest Flexible vacation policy. Two company-wide rest weeks per year.
