YesJob Description:
Hitachi is looking for a Cybersecurity Advisory & Tooling Services Specialist to join our growing cybersecurity team. This is a unique opportunity for a security professional who enjoys combining strategic cybersecurity advisory with hands on management of enterprise security technologies.
In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening and protecting our global technology environment by ensuring that critical cybersecurity tools, including Axonius, Lansweeper, and Tenable, operate at their best. You'll work closely with stakeholders across IT and the wider business, providing trusted security guidance while driving the effective use, optimisation, and continuous improvement of our security tooling landscape.
As a Cybersecurity Advisory & Tooling Services Specialist, you'll bridge the gap between cybersecurity strategy and day-to-day operations. You'll help translate high-level security objectives into practical solutions, repeatable processes, and actionable recommendations that reduce risk and enhance our overall security posture. If you're passionate about cybersecurity, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to make a visible impact in a collaborative global organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
How you'll make an impact:
Provide cybersecurity advisory support to IT and business stakeholders, offering guidance on secure design, risk mitigation, and security best practices.
Administer, maintain, and optimise enterprise security tools, including Axonius, Lansweeper, and Tenable, ensuring effective asset discovery and vulnerability management.
Conduct daily and scheduled health checks on security platforms, identifying and resolving issues related to scans, integrations, data quality, and licensing.
Monitor, analyse, and triage tool outputs, including vulnerability findings, asset inventory changes, and security alerts, escalating risks where appropriate.
Manage and resolve cybersecurity tooling and advisory service requests through the ITSM platform, ensuring delivery against agreed service levels.
Develop and maintain operational documentation, including standard operating procedures, runbooks, and process guides to support consistent and auditable practices.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity Operations, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to support tool integrations, security initiatives, and control effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve cybersecurity tooling processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
Background & Experience:
Proven experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or IT operations, with exposure to both security operations and advisory or stakeholder-facing responsibilities.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including servers, networks, endpoints, cloud services, and the application of security controls within these environments.
Hands-on experience administering security technologies such as vulnerability management, asset management, or security monitoring tools; experience with Axonius, Lansweeper, and/or Tenable is desirable.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls.
Ability to analyse vulnerability and risk data, prioritise remediation activities, and communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) with a relevant certification such as CompTIA Security+, and exposure to scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python being advantageous.
