You'll be part of a global engineering team designing advanced high-voltage substations that support reliable, sustainable energy solutions for customers and communities around the world.
As a key technical leader, you'll guide complex GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) substation projects from concept through installation, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and international engineering teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and influencing projects that make a lasting impact on the energy industry.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead technical GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) substation projects from initial design through installation and commissioning.
- Translate customer requirements into practical, innovative engineering solutions.
- Develop substation layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Facilitate technical discussions and project meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate material procurement, fabrication activities, and installation planning.
- Drive design optimization efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, environmental, quality, and safety standards.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in substation engineering, high-voltage equipment, or heavy industrial projects preferred.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software; Creo and AutoCAD experience is highly valued.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation processes.
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings, project reviews, and site support activities.
