Manager Linux Development (m/f/d) - Augsburg

LOCATION: Augsburg, Germany
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a positive team culture through transparent communication, coaching and employee performance reviews
- Take over the technical leadership and further development of the team
- Plan and coordinate further training measures
- Help structure the software development process and have the opportunity to implement own ideas in the area of responsibility
- Implementation of software projects (maintenance, further development and technological renewal) in the Cloud/Server Based Computing environment (I.e., Citrix, VMware, Microsoft AVD/RDP, Browser, etc.)
- Coordination of the roadmap with the product management team and communication with other departments (QA, documentation, presales, support, etc.)
- Control the support ticket processing
- Technical and supervisory responsibility for an existing development team
- Responsible for products or product areas and for driving further development and maintenance (redesign, refactoring's)
- Responsibility for projects and technologies
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics or electrical engineering is preferred, or relevant professional experience with qualified technical training
At least 5 years of experience in software development with Linux and one year leadership responsibility
Advanced knowledge of the structure and function of Linux-based systems
Able to grasp complex interrelations
Works closely with senior managers and directors on departmental issues. Wide latitude for decision-making
Good interdisciplinary communication skills
Ideally has experience in leading a team and projects
