We are looking for a full-stack Java Developer to join our dynamic and collaborative software engineering team!

What You’ll Do:
As a Software Engineer I in the Governance, Compliance and Insights team, you will join one of several squads designing, developing and sustaining strategic components of our industry leading solution for Human Risk Management.
- Help plan, refine and estimate epics and stories as part of an Agile Scrum team
- Develop back-end (and sometimes front-end) software under the guidance of senior colleagues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers in the US and UK
- Participate in and help drive Agile development processes
- Participate in on-call rotation with your colleagues
- Push for continuous improvement in everything we do
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of full stack development using Java (C# is also useful)
- Knowledge of SQL and message queue systems
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development, and unit test automation tools like TestNG or JUnit
- Familiarity with Microservices and APIs, including design, development, integration and testing
- Experience with CI/CD build pipelines, especially using GitLab and Jenkins
- Familiarity with effective use of AI tools (such as Cursor or Copilot) for development, testing, or documentation
- Familiarity with AWS or similar public cloud offerings, including the services they offer and how to interact with the platform to develop and deploy systems.
- Aptitude for understanding cloud-native, high-concurrency systems
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Bias for action and problem solving – eagerness to take initiative and make things happen.
- Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Docker containers, Kubernetes and Helm
- Familiarity with digital communications tools like Zoom, Slack, and MS Teams: Not just how to use them, but how they work and integrate

The base salary range for this position is $96,000−$144,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
