About the role

The Senior Member Marketing Manager is responsible for leading member marketing strategy, innovation, and execution across client programs. This role serves as a strategic advisor to clients and internal teams, helping translate market trends, client needs, member behavior, and business priorities into effective engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes. This individual is both externally and internally focused. Externally, they serve as a consultative partner to clients, bringing forward best practices, market perspective, and recommended approaches to improve member awareness, engagement, and action. Internally, they act as a connector across Client Success, Implementation, Product, Legal, Marketing, and delivery teams to ensure strategies are practical, scalable, compliant, and executed with excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and strong operator who can move fluidly between client conversations, market analysis, campaign planning, and internal execution. They are curious about what is changing in the market, confident in making recommendations, and disciplined in seeing work through to completion. They understand that effective member marketing requires more than producing communications. It requires understanding the audience, anticipating client needs, aligning internal teams, measuring what works, and continuously improving the approach. This person brings forward ideas, creates structure, builds trust, and helps the organization stay ahead of what clients and members will need next.

Location: This position may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America.

What you’ll do:

Strategy, Insights, & Innovation - Lead the development and evolution of member marketing strategies that align with client goals, market expectations, and member needs.

  • Monitor market trends, client feedback, member engagement patterns, competitive activity, and emerging communication practices within healthcare, benefits, and B2B2C marketing.
  • Translate market and client insights into clear recommendations, campaign strategies, messaging approaches, channel plans, and engagement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve the organization's member marketing approach, including new campaign concepts, improved templates, personalization strategies, journey-based communications, and scalable best practices.
  • Develop strategic points of view, playbooks, presentations, and guidance materials that help internal teams and clients understand what is changing in the market and how to respond.

Client-Facing Advisory and Partnership-Serve as a strategic member marketing advisor to clients and client-facing teams

  • Partner directly with clients to understand their goals, member populations, communication challenges, implementation needs, and success measures.
  • Lead or support client conversations related to member marketing strategy, campaign planning, communication best practices, and program optimization.
  • Translate client needs into clear marketing strategies, project briefs, campaign recommendations, and execution plans.
  • Balance consultative partnership with operational discipline, helping clients understand what is recommended, what is feasible, and how work will be prioritized and delivered.

Product Needs, Marketing Approach Definition, and Operationalization - Partner across Product, Client Success, Implementation, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to understand evolving product needs, define the right member marketing approach, and operationalize scalable strategies that support clients, members, and business priorities.

Partner closely with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to understand product capabilities, roadmap priorities, member experience considerations, client needs, and market expectations.

  • Translate product and client needs into clear member marketing strategies, communication approaches, campaign frameworks, and operational plans.
  • Help define how new or evolving products, features, services, or program changes should be communicated to members across relevant channels and client use cases.
  • Lead the development of messaging strategies, communication journeys, campaign templates, planning resources, and enablement materials that support product adoption and member engagement.
  • Partner with internal teams to determine what should be standardized, what should be customizable, and how member marketing resources should be packaged for effective use by client-facing teams.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, member marketing, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, account-based marketing, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing and executing B2B2C marketing or communication programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clients, business partners, or external stakeholders in a consultative capacity.
  • Strong ability to translate business goals, client needs, and audience insights into clear marketing strategies and execution plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create presentations, planning documents, recommendations, and client-ready materials.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing timelines, priorities, stakeholders, and workflow processes.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, including marketing, client success, implementation, product, legal, and operations.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance, synthesize feedback, and recommend practical improvements.
  • High degree of organization, ownership, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in healthcare, employee benefits, health plans, digital health, navigation, care advocacy, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Comfort using marketing, project management, CRM, reporting, or workflow tools.
  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
