cybersecurity program that combines technology, expert guidance, and continuous risk management. We serve as a trusted cybersecurity partner, helping businesses understand their risk, prioritize improvements, and strengthen their overall cyber resilience.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Direct Sales Representative with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive new business growth. This individual will be responsible for creating demand and identifying new opportunities through targeted prospecting, direct outreach, and channel partners, while cultivating relationships and driving opportunities from initial engagement through close.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Michigan. The role will also require occasional travel to SensCy headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive New Business & Leverage Your Network: Proactively create and close new business opportunities by leveraging existing professional relationships and networks, targeted prospecting, referrals, events, outbound outreach, and other demand-generation activities.
- Develop & Sell Through Channel Partners: Build and leverage relationships with channel partners,
referral partners, affinity groups, and other strategic networks to generate qualified opportunities and
expand SensCy’s market reach.
- Own the End-to-End Sales Process: Lead opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification
through discovery, presentation, proposal, negotiation and close, serving as a trusted advisor
throughout the sales process.
- Build & Manage a Strong Pipeline: Maintain a healthy, well-organized pipeline in the CRM, actively
manage opportunities and forecasts, use data to refine sales strategies, and consistently achieve or
exceed sales targets.
- Represent SensCy in the Market: Develop strong relationships with business leaders, represent SensCy
at industry and networking events, and stay current on cybersecurity, AI, business risk, and relevant
market trends.
- Collaborate Across the Organization: Work closely with Marketing, Client Services, Product, and
leadership to develop opportunities, strengthen messaging, respond to client needs, and improve sales
effectiveness.
- Think Entrepreneurially: Identify creative ways to open doors and generate revenue through personal
networks, partnerships, direct prospecting, and opportunities throughout Michigan and across the U.S.
Role Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent
professional experience).
- 4–10 years of B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of revenue growth, new business
development, fast-paced execution, and career progression.
- Experience selling cybersecurity, technology, risk management, managed services, or other complex
B2B solutions is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the cybersecurity
landscape and the ability to discuss cyber risk in a business context with executive-level buyers.
- Strategic and consultative sales background, with demonstrated ability to understand a prospect’s
business challenges, develop an appropriate solution and value proposition, navigate multiple
stakeholders, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
- Experience developing business through a combination of personal networks, direct prospecting,
referrals, and channel/strategic partners.
- Experience selling third-party/supplier cybersecurity risk management, third-party risk management
(TPRM), supply-chain risk, or related solutions is a significant plus.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted
relationships with C-level executives, business leaders, IT leaders, and strategic partners.
- Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial, with strong time management,
follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficient with CRM platforms, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern
sales/prospecting tools, with the ability to use data and pipeline insights to guide sales strategy.
- Curious and learning-oriented, with a strong interest in cybersecurity, AI, business risk, emerging
technology, and evolving market trends. Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight
travel and participation in industry events.
