New CEO Leadership at Purpose Jobs

New CEO Leadership at Purpose Jobs

Hey Purpose Jobs Community 👋

If we haven’t had the pleasure of connecting before, I’m Hannah, a long-time member of the Purpose Jobs team.

I’m writing to you today to share some really exciting news — I’ve stepped into the role of CEO at Purpose Jobs.

If this is the first time we’re crossing paths, allow me to share a bit about myself. I joined Purpose Jobs nearly 5 years ago and have done a little bit of everything, including talent support, client success, business ops, product management, events, and more. From the very beginning, I was drawn to Purpose Jobs because of its mission — connecting people to purpose-driven work. After a period of burnout in my own career, I wanted a fresh start that felt personal. My motto has always been, “I want to be excited for Mondays.” Work takes up a third of our lives, and I believe it should be something we look forward to — something that energizes us and creates a positive ripple effect on the rest of our lives. Purpose Jobs has always embodied that for me.

This is me! I'm a big traveler, and one of my life goals is to visit all the US National Parks (I'm over halfway)!

Over the years, some of my favorite moments have been collaborating with our clients — helping them tell their stories, highlighting what makes their culture special, and sharing why they’re such great places to work. Just as meaningful has been building community through events like our local Startup Happy Hours. Seeing people come together, make connections, and leave inspired is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Along the way, I’ve also learned just how vibrant the Midwest startup and tech ecosystem is. From global rankings, to major investments in innovation centers, to countless community builders working behind the scenes — it’s clear that there’s something special happening here. Being a native Hoosier makes it that much more exciting to be part of this momentum and to play a role in supporting entrepreneurs, companies, and talent in the region’s shared success.

Now, stepping into the CEO role, I feel both deeply honored and energized. I’ve always thrived in spaces where I can roll up my sleeves and have my hands in everything, and this is an incredible opportunity to do just that. I’m going to be figuring a few things out as I go along, but at the core of my leadership are a few simple values: we lift each other up, we aim to make a positive impact, and we hold ourselves to a high standard of quality and care in everything we do.

Looking ahead, my vision for Purpose Jobs is rooted in growth and community. We’ll continue to be the home for purpose-driven companies and professionals in the startup and tech space — a place where stories are told, opportunities are shared, and connections are made. We’ll shine a brighter light on local news and innovation across the Midwest, expand our Startup Happy Hour events to new cities, and help tell the stories not just of companies, but of the people and places shaping this region’s future. Above all, we’ll stay true to our mission: helping people discover meaningful opportunities and helping companies share what makes them special.

I’m so grateful for this community — for our clients, our partners, our members, and everyone who believes in the power of purpose-driven work. I can’t wait for what’s ahead, and I’m honored to lead Purpose Jobs into this next chapter.

With gratitude,
Hannah Slover
