Our Response to COVID-19: We’re on Team You

These are unbelievably tough times for everyone, everywhere.

But for small businesses, these are defining moments. Companies are wondering if and how they’ll stay afloat. Really incredible people are losing their jobs, not due to lack of effort but simply due to lack of funds and a general air of uncertainty that surrounds us all. The natural instinct is to cut costs from anywhere possible.

As the founder of a small startup, I’m right there with you and trying to do the same.

We’ve spent the last few weeks meeting with companies over Zoom to understand what they’re going through, what they need, and to try to figure out how best we can lend a hand. While many companies aren’t actively hiring right now, it’s actually a great time to be proactive in building a candidate pipeline so that when the faucet turns back on, they’re ready to go.

Here’s How We’re Helping

Supporting Employers

Free Sourcing Tool

We’ve had a huge influx of great candidates joining our platform who recently got laid off.  All the candidates on our matching platform have been personally vetted and are ready to interview. During this time, employers can use this free sourcing tool to get exclusive access to these talented candidates to help build your team and business.

I know many companies aren’t actively looking to hire right now, and I totally understand why. But I also still think there’s value in maintaining connections, even when things are strange and scary. There are great candidates out there, and we want to help you keep building your talent pipeline and get ready for when this is over and you hit ground running with hiring again.

Free Job Postings

We’re also making it totally free for companies to post a job on our new job board. Candidates on our platform, who are all pre-vetted, will have access to directly apply to the open roles on the job board. This makes it easy for you to get in touch with top-notch talent. They’re sent straight to your inbox.

Free Company Profile

We also offer the option to receive a free company profile. We’ll help tell your story by creating a custom company profile page that will humanize your employer brand. This can help you share your values and highlight your amazing team. Want to see an example? Check out the pages we’ve done for Duo Security and DaySmart Software

If you're interested in these free resources, set up time to chat with Allie who will help get your account set up for free.

Supporting Job Seekers

Job Board

For the many of you out there looking for jobs, we want to help you, too. We’re launching a new job board that will be accessible to anyone on our platform. If you haven’t already, go to purpose.jobs/talent to create your free profile. Once your profile is completed, you’ll have access to directly apply to any of the jobs posted on our job board.

Get started and create your free profile.

Virtual Events

We love hosting community events, and our career fair proved that staying at home doesn’t have to put an end to coming together as a community. We will continue to host events like our happy hour through virtual platforms. These events, as always, are free and designed to help job seekers, entrepreneurs, investors and employers connect and learn from one another. Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming April virtual happy hour. We’re announcing a big guest speaker soon!

If there is anything else we can do to help you during these times, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. My number one priority is our community.

From one small startup to another, we want to be there to help you through it in any way we can. We’re in this together. And we’ll get through it.
